Children will never be good at expressing their emotions and feelings, particularly if it is extreme. For them, the discomfort and tension may be unfamiliar and difficult to manage and comprehend. When they have an infection, children find it challenging to describe their pain. One, they still don’t grasp the suffering and pain. Second, it’s possible that the circumstances are too fresh for them to handle.

In our experience as a family clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada, ear infections are typically the infection that young children experience the most, frequently. Ear infections come in two varieties:

  • The swimmer’s ear, also known as otitis externa. After swimming in freshwater lakes or swimming pools, this ear infection develops. What germs are in these pools of water is unknown to us. Therefore, an infection of the child’s outer ear canal is unavoidable.

  • The middle ear infection known as otitis media takes place behind the eardrum. Either bacteria or viruses are the root cause of this sort of ear infection.
